word.exe gone

My computer cannot find word.exe when the previous day I
still used Word. All the shortcuts to it stoped working,
the original link to word.exe opens up access.exe
instead. What do I do?

If you're searching for "word.exe," that might be the problem, since the
executable is named "winword.exe." Moreover, unless you're including Hidden
and System files in your search, you might still not find it. But there are
viruses that delete the program, so it would be advisable to update your AV
software and do a thorough scan of your HD.
