word failed reading from this file ().

I am building an html document from Word. I work first with the ".doc"
document, add some 3 images, save it as html and upload it to the server. It
works perfectly.

when I want to edit the document in Word later on I get this message: "word
failed reading from this file (). please restore the network connection or
replace the floppy disk and retry."

the images are right there on the hard drive in the same directory and I get
the message when I try to open the".doc" file and also with the ".html" file.

the system then sends an error report to MS and shuts down Word.

I would appreciate any help.

HTML doesn't store documents. You must also upload the graphics to the
server.

Thank you, Anne.
That part works perfectly, once I load the file to the server we can all see
the document and the graphics in Internet Explorer from the web site.

However, when I go back to my PC and want to open the file (either .doc or
..html) using Word from my hard drive (not from the server), it's then that I
get the error.
