I was sent a Word file by a correspondent and when I open it I get an error
dialog saying that I did not have a Normal document template, followed by a
messaging informing me that my standard template had been modified. It
asked me if I wanted to "load" it, and I answered No. When I quit Word
and reload, I do not get these messages any more.
This concerns me a lot that maybe there is some kind of payload or virus in
this file. Does anyone have insights on what these error messages mean?
When I inspect by Macros | Security, I do not see any Macros in any of my
templates. But perhaps the program autoexecuted some other kind of logic
that wrote a file somewhere else?
