Word file can't print

Hi Folks,

I have a users with a Word printing problem that I simply can't
resolve.

The user creates a 7 page Word doc (tex and images) and saves it to
his local drive. When he tries to print to any of our three printers
there is no output.

I sent the document to two other Mac 2004 users with the same
results. They could not print the document and could not save it as a
PDF.

The only fix was to copy and paste the contents to a new document and
save it as an RTF which then printed.

Helppppp!!!

Since you make no mention of OS X or Word update levels it's hard to be
sure, but that sounds like it's where the problem lies.

I'd suggest that you update OS X on all systems using the Combo updater from
the Apple site along with any other updates for Quicktime, etc. Run Disk
Utility - Repair Disk Permissions after the updates.

Also, make sure Office is fully updated. If not currently at 11.3.5 or
higher apply that first, followed by 11.3.6 & 11.3.7 in that order.

You mght also check to see that the printer drivers are up-to-date on each
system.

A corrupt document can do that.

Copy all except the last paragraph mark to a new document and save as a
document and you may fix it.

Cheers
