word file conversion

helpppppp....
i just got a new computer with Works 9.0 installed.
how can i read, work convert etc. my old word files.
i tried to download all kind of converters, if anyone has the one i need pls
send.
also if you know how to chage the writing direction in works ( i write in
hebrew).
