Word file does not open when clicking on it

When I click on a word (.doc) file, Word (2003) starts but it does not show
the document (also not a blank one). When clicking on a .doc attachment in
Outlook, I get a message that the system can not find the document.

Word opens files from File->Open. Other Office apps don't behave like this.

Any ideas?

It's due to an overactive Anti Virus. If you use Kapersky, I believe they
have an update for this. If you use NAV, open NAV and disable the Office
Plug-in.

I use the F-secure virusscanner latest update (Office/WinXP are also
updated). The problem started suddenly. Word is correctly linked to .doc
files. When another document is already open in word, clicking on another
file (or attachment in Outlook) results in opening as it should.

Word opens files correctly via file->open
