Can't believe I did this but I did.
I opened an important doc, began to rewrite it without save as a different
file name first, overwrote all the old text, and did a SAVE without
renaming.
I was hoping that somewhere in word, cache or somewhere, there might be a
version of the original doc. No, I don't have a backup that includes this
recent doc, and I simply cannot explain how I managed to make this error.
I've tried some so called file recovery utilities from googling, but they
only work if the file has its original name and is damaged or corrupted or
deleted. I tried several, and they don't work. In this case the file was
overwritten.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
