Word & Filemaker 8

Hi

Does any one know if Word 2004 is compatible with Filemaker 8?

I currently can import data from Filemaker 6 into Word but not from
Filemaker 8.

If its not compatible are there any plans to make it so?

Filemaker drastically changed their database format at some point (I think
with Filemaker 7, I think right about the same time Office 2004 came out, or
after Office 2004, maybe), and Office isn't set up to deal with the new
format. Make sure you are updated to Office 11.2.1, though I can't remember
whether an update enabled Office to deal with the new format. For some
reason I don't think so.

You'll have to export the data from FM8 into a tab delimited or csv file or
excel or something, for Word to use it.
