I am taking online college courses and my teacher cannot open any of the word
files i send to her. It was working fine untill about a week ago.

I went to best buy and bought another copy of Microsoft Office Home and
Student 2007 in hopes that it would solve the problem. how ever it did not.
when i try to open attatchments i have sent it pops up an error block which
says
" Windows cannot fine
'C:users\Shannon\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary internet
files\low\content.IES\WWGL254J\revised%20contrast%20%20RTF%20SW[1].Ink'. Make
sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

When i try to add the attatchments after i open them it says that messege.
adding the attachments is a simple click to add but still no luck. Can anyone
help please!?!?!

Thank you.

Hi Shannon,

I don't think that Office is the problem... I think you might want to scan
your computer for potential viruses and other malware.

Do you have any sort of anti-virus or anti-spyware installed?
If not, check out Avast Home Edition. It's free. www.avast.com

Good luck!

It appears that you are trying to send as attachments documents you have
opened and worked on as attachments. These are saved as temporary files and
not available for attaching. Instead of opening the attachment directly,
right-click on the attachment and choose Save to save the attachment to your
Documents folder (or, if you open the attachment, immediately use Save As to
save the file to a documents folder before editing). Then you will be able
to send it as an attachment.

If you're just trying to send an attachment without editing, you can use
Forward to forward the original message with the attachment (you can delete
and change the message body).

dhte full student 2007 edition. it keeps giving me the "Cant find file name"
error. so im unsur eof what to do now.

If your instructor saves the attachment to the HD before attempting to open
it, does this work? Also, although you can send an unsaved document directly
from Word, you may not later be able to open the attachment you sent.

The non commercial usewarning is present when the Home and Student version
of Office is installed, which means that you have agreed to the EULA which
restricts the use to non-commercial applications. In fact the EULA is so
loosely written that it excludes *any* use of Word that I can think of, so
can be considered an exercise to keep Microsoft's (and your) lawyers amused
at your expense should you prepare a commercially succesful tome written
with that version.

As for the problem with your attachments, we need to establish whether the
fault is yours or that of your teacher. Send a message with a Word document
attachment to the link on the home page of my web site, so that I can see
what exactly is attached. The document can contain random text. I am not
interested in content.
