Word files won't open

I have Microsoft Office Home/Student 2007 for Vista. I cannot open any
attatchments from emails and cannont open any of my files currently saved on
my computer.

So tell us what happens when you try? "cannont open any of my files" is so
vague as to be useless.

See if this is better: I cannot open any attatched files from my email. The
word documents used to open fine into word.

And what does happen when you try to open any attached files from your
email? Error messages? Screen goes blank?
