Word Fonts

For sometime I have had trouble trying to access certain fonts in Office XP.
Although they appear to be there, when I try to load them, I still cannot
access them.

I understand that it may be something to do with my default printer setting
(I have 2 printers, both Epson - a 830U and a Stylus 440 and I still cannot
get the fonts no matter which one I set as default.

Can I override the printers altogether and get all the ones which came with
Office XP
