Word for Mac 04 & equation editor

Hi, I've tried posting this on oher forums, but to no avail, ondering
if any of you guys could help.

I'm trying to write a physics lab report and so am inserting equations
into a word document. Trouble is, the equations are appearing twice.

Only one appears in print preview at first, but if you leave it a
minute the other appears.
I'm not sure whether it's to do with the actual equation editor or
whether there's a problem with inserting objects into word.

I'm on an ibook G4 1.2 Ghz, 256Mb Ram, OS X.3.9, using word for mac
2004 and using the equation editor that comes with it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Seumas,

What happens when you actually print a page? Does it really print twice?

Side note: I bet you'd be happier all around with more memory than 256MB.

I bet the problem is related to the method you're using to insert the
equation into the document. The proper way to do it is to close out the
Equation Editor window each time, either by clicking File > Close or by
using the shortcut Command + W. If you're copying the equation in Equation
Editor and pasting it into Word, this will often produce duplicate
equations.
