Word for Mac Crashing

Word:Mac v.X Problem

I have word (word:mac v.x) for the mac (g5) and since i updated my OS to OS
10.4.2, everytime i start word, it crashes immediately. Please advise, having
a functioning version of word is mission critical at my job. Thanks.
