Word for Windows 95

I have an old computer running Windows 95. It came with
Microsoft Works installed, but I would like to install a
compatible version of Word. Which version of Word do I
need, and is such a version available for purchase?

You won't be able to use Word 2002 or the forthcoming Word 2003, but any
previous version will theoretically run on Windows 95 (provided you have the
HD space to install and run it). Although Word 97 and 2000 are no longer
available commercially, you might be able to find one on eBay or a similar
auction site.
