Hi,
I have running into problem with a Word Form that I have
developed. I am using Word 2000. I have developed a form
with a few Form fields. The users of this form changes the
contents of some of the fields. I have provided with a
custom menu option to my users which sends the document as
an attachment to some recipients outside our organization.
I use Outlook 2000 for sending the email. The recipients
are supposed to open the document, change the content of
some of the fields and send an email with the modified
attachment back to the sender.
There are two template files involved with this. One, that
defines the form and the other than provides two menu
options in Word. Both the template files are protected
with no passwords.
The problem is the following: When the recipients outside
our organization is opening the attachment upon receiving
the email they are experiencing some very crazy behavior.
One of the recipients can change the entire form, the
whole file has got unprotected for him. He can change the
labels, even delete the form fields. Another recipient is
experiencing something even more crazy. His document is
protected as it should be. But one Form field (a combobox)
gets unprotected for him. There are several other
comboboxes on that form and some text boxes. Everything
else is fine, but that one combobox. He can delete the
field, can't see the contents. When he double clicks on
it, he sees the design time property dialog box of the
field.
Any ideas anybody, please help.
Thanks in advance.
