Word freezes coming back from hibernate

If I am in word and walk away from my computer with a document open, word
freezes when I return the computer from hibernation mode! Any suggestions?
I have updated my BIOS with the most recent from Dell. The PC is a Dell
Inspiron running Windows XP Home and Office XP?
