Word freezes during save or save as

Hi there all,
I am having a problem with Word 2002. Recently it has begun to freeze
completely whenever I try to save or save as. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled but it continues to freeze. Any ideas on why this is happening
and how to fix it? Any help would be great

Hi,

Iam not sure if this is a work computer or a home. I have seen this
occurring in my work computers which have a network share or a network
printer which may have been disconnected or probably based in a different
branch office.

If you have any network shares (mapped network drives) which are
disconnected, make note of them and delete them.

Check the default print device, make sure its a locally connected printer or
make a pdf printer or ms document image writer the default printer in
'printers and faxes'. Delete any network printers which are offline. close
word and try again.
