Word freezes when adding image, after Snow Leopard installed

I have the latest updates for the Mac (10.6.1) and Word for Office Mac
2008 (12.2.1), and I also reported several times this issue to Mac,
every time it freezes. This happens when I try to upload an image to a
word document. Solutions?

What type of images are these (file format plus any other details you can
supply, &

Exactly how ‹ step-by-step ‹ are you attempting to "upload" them... There is
no method by that name. I don't mean to sound finicky, but unless we know
exactly what you're doing it's rather difficult to guess where it might be
going wrong

I don't claim to understand these error logs... They're intended for the
programmers & software engineers, but it looks to me like you might do well
to fetch the 10.5.8 Combo Update from the Apple Downloads site & reapply it.

The images are small gif or jpeg, when adding a picture to the word
document or a signature. I go to Insert>Picture>From File and then
choose the file, and once it's in the document it freezes.

OK, now we need to know what created those images

Bear with us: This problem is a PITA to find... The more detail you can
give us, the quicker we'll get to it...

We have reported issues in the past with images created in some programs.

But if I insert a GIF or a JPEG here, using exactly the method you use, it
works fine.

It could also be a problem with a specific document: have you tried it in a
fresh blank document saved as a .docx?
