Word freezes when copying text from internet

Hi,
I've been trying to copy information from e-mails to a word document and the
program freezes up and then shuts down after a few minutes. (It used to do
this just fine.) Since the problem occured, I have updated my Office XP to
the latest service pack, but the problem persists. I'm at a loss for ideas?
Anyone have a solution to this annoyance?

Hi Brenda. I have been experiencing the same problem recently with Word (2002
SP3). I didn't notice any replies to your post -- have you found any
solution to this?

Hi,

No one has offered a solution. I did figure out that it was only when I
tried copying from my Yahoo e-mails, not from internet pages.

Thanks for your reply. Now that you mention it, all of my issues have been
copying from Yahoo emails to Word as well. Thanks for that tip and if I find
out anything, I'll let you know.

Brenda: I received a reply on this:

When pasting, try using Edit | Paste Special | Paste as:
Unformatted text.

I tried it and it works. At least you get the text this way.
