Word freezes

I updated (through packet 3) Office Professional 2000
today and Word no longer works. I have subsequently
uninstalled and reinstatlled the software, but I still
have this problem with Word. I'm running XP Home &
having lots of trouble with it so I suspect this is the
source of my problems.
