Word ghost writing

I am running Office XP Professional.
When using Word, or Outlook when composing email message,
words now appear at the cursor, on the screen as though
typed, but without me touching the keyboard. The words
appear slowly, are in English and generally short eg "to
vote for".
Have run several virus checks (Norton). No viruses on
computer and keyboard is sound. Have reinstalled office
but still does it.
Any ideas?

Do you have Speech Recognition enabled (Tools | Speech)?
