Word got corrupted into chinese characters and symbols.

Hi i have been working on my assignment. Today i opened the file up and its
all in chinese characters and symbols.
As there any way to convert it back to english?
Why did this happen>

It is far more likely it is totally corrupt. Did you save it some type of
removable media such as a flash key (the number one way to corrupt Word
documents)? Always save to the local HDD and copy to from the removable
memory.

If necessary, I think you can try a utility called Advanced Word
Repair to repair your Word document. It works rather well for my
