word hangs up at start up.

Word application hangs up, with error event id 1002. Solution? Once
connecting to word, the application is trying to recover two files, however,
the files have do not exist anymore. Word response is "Not Responding".
1) I have tried to fix word by using "fix office". The fix option would not
work and stopped process.
2) so... I removed office and reinstalled full office. Same problem with
word.

Does removing and reinstalling office really remove everything about Word?
It is still asking to recover the files when starting Word.

Is it hanging up because:
1) A problem with auto recover?
2) Word corrupted?
3) Is XP corrupted?

No uninstalling doesn't remove anything really and is nearly always a total
waste of time. In this case the simple solution would be to create two empty
documents with the original filenames and place them where they were
originally. Then open Word and let it do a recovery. Once done you can then
delete the files.
