word hangs up

I have Office 2000 Professional and am running a stand alone with Windows XP.
When I open Word, the page hangs up and will not respond. My other Office
documents work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled two times at no avail
with Word. On my tool bar in Word I have the letters FR in red. I don't
remember seeing those before. My virus scan is Norton 360. Any ideas?

Try running Detect and Repair from the Help Menu.
