Word hangs when exiting

Hi,

I'm using word 2002, on XP Pro. I have all the updates. Word is linked
to Equation editor, Endnote 6.0 and Acrobat 6.0. I also have NAV
running

When I open certain documents (not all), word becomes really slow and
when I exit, the processor usage goes up to 99%, and mem usage goes up
from ~35mb to 140mb. I have to kill the process using task manager.
Any idea what is going on. Any idea why this is? Could it be endnote?
I can't get any error reports as I have to kill the task.
