Word has Runtime Error

Hey

Recently, a version of Norton AntiVirus was installed on my computer. I run Windows XP. However, the installed version of Norton was not compatible with my operating system. Since it has been installed, Microsft Word has not been working properly. Whenever I try to open Word or Excel, I get the following error message:

RUNTIME ERRO
Program: C\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 11\Winword.ex
R602
-pure virtual function cal

When I go back to open again, it opens in safe mode, but I'm still not able to open any documents that I have previously saved. Please Help
