word has stopped working (2007)

Whenever I try to preview a document in Windows Explorer (Vista Ultimate), I
get a "program has caused Microsoft Office Word to stop working.....then Word
hangs and I have to wait for the recovery. This has also happened
occassionally in Word itself (2007). I have also had a Windows Explorer
message a few times - same thing....has stopped working... this is a new pc
(dell) and everything was preinstalled. Tried diagnostics, office repair,
etc. Has anyone else had this happen in Office 2007? This has not happened
with Excel, Outlook, Adobe, etc. Just Word...

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

May be a bad printer driver or a bad graphics driver. I've seen this problem
caused by the Radeon 1150 graphics chipset as well as a bad printer driver.
Check on both support sites for the latest drivers and try deleting and
reinstalling them. If it persists, try an older graphics driver.
