Word having problems opening documents

After installing update KB933688, Microsoft Word hangs or cannot open certain
word files. This applies to Office 2003 with Microsoft Office Compatibility
Pack 2007 and Office 2007. If you open the files that cannot load in Word in
another text editor and save as Word-file it can now be opened.

Hi, Jon-Erik,

Can you determine what the "certain word files" have in common? Were they
all created in Word 2007, or last saved in Word 2007?

It looks like it's happening with files last saved in Word 2003 (with the
Office 2007 Compatibility pack),based on templates.
