Word hyperlinks re-enabling Windows transition effects

This problem would happen in Windows 2000, and now it still does the
same in XP.

In desktop properties, I set window transition effects to none - so
they just pop up, and don't zoom into view.

In Word (2002) whenever I click on a hyperlink that I have created
(that opens up another document or moves to a place in the same
document etc.) the desktop window transitions return, without my
selecting them.

I am up to date with all Service Packs.

Any advice?

Hi Simon,

See if the settings in Tools=>Customize=>Options in Word
for menu transitions and Tools=>Options=>General for
Feedback with Animation have been turned on.

Bob -

Thanks for the reply.

No, neither of those options are (or get) turned on - either before
the unwanted behavior starts, or after it has started.

Simon.
