Word I need help

I am trying to print a headed paper template I need a 8cm gap for the
heading but only one the first page on all other pages I want a 2cm
drop i have achieved this before but can't remember how, help please I
am going to throw my computer away !

Hi Fiona, I've had to do this myself on occasion. What I ended up
doing was using a frame without borders - that always did the trick.
You create it in the header and make it as big as the gap should be.
Then the header on the following pages reverts to normal.

If you can't find the Frame command on a toolbar you can add it
yourself through Tools > Customise > Command. Category is Insert,
command is horizontal frame.

There may be a better way but I could never find it ...

Page Setup is where you need to be; the phrase you're looking for
is "different first page".

(Using Word XP)
File > Page Setup...
"Layout" Tab
"different first page"

Did some more testing - if you change the top margin to 2 cm and then
header margin on the layout page to 8 cm it will work. You need to
edit the header on the first page and put a space in for it to take
affect.
