Word icon doesn't appear

Hi:

I just installed Word 2004 for Mac. After creating and saving a new
Word document, the Word icon doesn't appear. All my new Word documents
have blank icons associated with them.

Does anyone know a fix for this? I couldn't find anything on the MS
support site.

Hi Roger,

See if repairing disk permissions helps: For OS 10.2.x or 10.3:
Go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities. Open up Disk Utility. Select
your hard disk, then click the First Aid tab. Click the button to "Repair
Disk Permissions".

Like any other file association in OSX, select a file, ctrl-click and
choose Get Info. In the Open with pane, choose Word 2004, and click the
Change All button.
