word is acting funny

I have a student version of word 2003. I used to be able to cut and paste
text from web pages onto a word doc with no problem. Now it hangs and
eventually crashes with the message :Office has encountered a problem and
needs to close..." I have hard drive space and I have defragged the hard
drive.

When pasting, try using Edit | Paste Special | Paste as: Unformatted text.
