Word is my email editor

How can I turn Word off as my email editor (and is this process in reverse
the way to turn it on again)?

Hi Spencer,

In Outlook follow these steps
1.) Click Tools
2.) Click Options
3.) Click the Mail Format tab
4.) Uncheck/check Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages

I have to perform this step every time I start Outlook, the setting does is
not retained when the application is restarted - any suggestions?
