Word is playing catch up

When I am typing in word sometimes it plays catch up.
Like I will type whole sentence, and then when I am done
typing, word is still typing in the last 3 words. Any
suggestions.

As far as my experience has taught me, this is a problem of having a video
card that isn't up to the task.
