Word: Keeping cation to an object in

Z

Zen Andreas

When I add a caption to an object (figure/picture/graph) in a
text document, the caption is never locked to the object (or at
least can't see how to do this...). Hence if after adding the
caption I change text in any of the paragraphs above the object
and caption, the picture doesn't move (if it is anchored) but the
caption will.

How can I lock a caption to an object so that is can ONLY move
WITH the object, not individually?

Also, if I put the caption (and object) in a frame, the automatic
table of content does not work. So I guess this is not a
potential solution either. Any ideas would by much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Zen

Hi, Zen. Using a frame is how I keep captions together with figures.
The automatic table of contents works just fine if the captions are in a
frame, but not when the captions are in a text box. How are you
inserting a frame? I insert a text box and convert it to a frame... is
it possible that you overlooked the "converting" part?
