Word keeps crashing. Can I reorganize document to help?

Word keeps crashing when I edit a particular document. Is there something I
can do to the document to prevent this?

Select the file in the File > Open dialog, click the down arrow next
to the Open button, and select "Open and Repair" from the menu.
