Word Keeps Freezing

I can open Windows fine, but when I try to access any
files or menus it freezes up, and closes. I don't have
the cd to reinstall, because it came with the computer
and all of the applications are on the same disc. I'm
afraid to use it because I don't want to erase any other
saved information. Any suggestions?

Try starting Windows in Safe Mode. If the error does not occur then
obtain an updated video driver from the manufacturer's web site and
see if that resolves the problem.
