Word keeps locking up on users

I have two computers on my network that keep freezing when
using Word. These are "bare bones" computers with only XP
Pro, Office, Antivirus, and a terminal emulating program.
There is not much running when this happens. When it does,
they are working on two documents at a time and it is when
they are switching between the two. They both have over
the specified 256MB of required RAM for XP so I don't
think its a memory problem, but I am stumped. I did
upgrade these computers from ME to XP trying to eliminate
this problem. That's why I think it is related to Word
only - or even just to these documents.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....any ideas?

Thanks
Tim

Is it always the same documents?

Try clearing out abandoned temp files from the Temp folder. The temp folder
should be empty when all applications are closed. From a restart, go to the
Temp folder. Windows Key + R and type in a . and press enter. Open Local
Settings and Temp. Select all the files and delete them all.

Get the users to test again and see if that resolves the problem.
