Word keeps losing my setttings

I am using Word 2003 (via Office 2003 Pro/Service Pack 2) and it keep losing
my setting such as my Save and Security settings. I have tried deleting my
Normal.Dot but it hasn't made a difference. It has done it on two different
machines so I know it is not a Windows fault (I think). Please help?

Settings such as this are stored in the Registry rather than in Normal.dot.
Failure to save settings can indicate a damaged Registry key (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm for instructions on
how to rebuild it), but another cause we've seen lately is a "Registry
cleaner" such as CCleaner that wipes settings.

If you have Adobe Acrobat 7, its add-in can interfere with saving the
Normal.dot file. See
