Links in Word file to Excel file do not automatically update when running on
network. Previously worked with another PC and same user. Running Win XP
SP2 Office SP 3 on both old and new PCs.
Links are present and can be updated manually but don't update on opening
Word or dynamically when changes made to Excel file. Tried lowering macro
security settings and increasing network rights; didn't help. May be Windows
issue but doesn't appear to be network (Novell) problem.
Others on network have same problem. Works for some users on different PCs
but not for users with new PCs even if same software versions as previously
worked.
Please advise. Office or Windows problem?
