word loads frontpage, not document

This is a new problem on an established home pc. When I open word via
an exisitng word document (just text, no HTML embeds, anything like
that), the system tries to load Frontpage first, asking me to insert
the disk or cancel out. I cancel out of the frontpage load, Word
opens, without having opened the document. I then have to locate and
open the document through Word.
Frontpage opens seperately no problem. Should I just follow thru with
the frontpage install anyway? is it calling up/referencing something I
can unreference?

XP Pro (all service paks, updates)
Word 2002 sp2

Any help woul dbe appreciated.
