Word locking up

I have install Microsoft Office 2000 Small Business and
everything is working OK but Word. Everytime I pull it up
it locks up and goes to a black screen and makes to re-
boot the machine. I did un-install and edit the regedit
file and re-install it again and can get Excel and Outlook
to work but still doing the same thing with Word. Do you
have anything I can try to make it work?
