Word Locking when closing documents

I am running Word 2002 on Windows 2000 and keep locking up
when I close a document. I can open, edit, save - but
every time it closes, Word locks up and I have to end-task
it. It's currently Word SP2, but I tried SP3 with the
same issue. I am including some entries from the event
viewer below. I also tried a detect/repair and a full
unistall/reinstall - no luck. I even tried installing
only the features noted in the event log (e.g. WORDFiles)
and also recreating the .pip registry key, but still no
luck. Any ideas?
