word mac sudden crash

hello, I'm experiencing problems with my word for mac copy. I have a single document of 20 pages about, as I open it and add something on it I can be sure that word is not going to answer me within 3 minutes and I consequently have to shut it down fron the dock.The problem exists just on this file but what can I do about it? Thx..
