When attempting to create a new email merge with data from an Access
table I get an error message with the error signature: AppName
winword.exe, AppVEr. 10.0.6612.0 , ModName: msjet40.dll , ModVer:
4.08618.0, Offset: 00046ddc
I use the same Access database (different tables) for other email
merges and they still work just fine. Can't figure out why I cannot
create this new email merge without getting an error. If I dump the
Access table data to an Excel file, the merge will work, but want to
be able to use the Access table directly for ease of operation like I
do with other email merges.
One thing that I found was that maybe an update to MDAC/Jet drivers
may be needed as it involved the msjet40.dll. Updated to MDAC 2.8 and
as the install was finishing up I got a Windows error signature;
BCCode: 1000007f, BCP1: 00000008, BCP2: 80042000, BCP3: 00000000,
BCP4: 00000000, OSVer: 5_1_2600,
SP: 1_0 Products: 256_1. Also installed Jet 4.0 Database.
Checked the merge again, but received same error as earlier.
The MDAC Component Checker says the version 2.8 RTM installed. (But
I really don't understand what this tool is trying to tell me.
Thanks
