Word Maximum Page Size

Word 2004 for Mac, version 11.2.5. OS X 10.4.7. Macbook, 2G RAM.

I wanted to create a poster, size 22x28 inches. Defined a custom paper
size and used Page Setup with that size "Formatted for Any Printer".

No error message, but the actual page size in Word is only 22x20 inches.
I can't find anything at all in Word Help about limits on page size.

Is there an undocumented maximum page size?

It's of academic interest only at this point. I discovered to my
surprise that PowerPoint does support this paper size, and I was able to
create my poster there.

Hello Alan -

I don't know whether it's documented in Word Help, but it is a documented
fact that the max paper size in Word is 22" x 22" - there may be a slight
difference between PC Word & Mac Word, but I don't think so. As you've
discovered there are any number of other applications that handle projects
of that type, but most word processing programs won't.
