Word Merge in XP

Since upgrading to XP, I can't seem to get the formatting of the dates and dollar amounts from Excel to preserve when merging into Word. In fact, in Excel the Formula bar doesn't even show the formatting, as it used to in previous versions. Now after every merge from Excel into Word, I have to manually change date and dollar formats. Does anyone have the answer to this problem?

Hi Christine,

Use DDE instead of OLE DB for your connection the Excel workbook.
