Hi all,
We have just moved all users from local home directories to network based
home directories using Mac OSX 10.3.
We have come across an interesting problem.
When attempting to create a merged word document to an excel document, both
which are in the users network home directory, Word cannot link to the
datafile. The following error is presented.
Word was unable to open the datasource.
Note that both documents are editable in word and excel. Also the merge
works if the data spreadsheet is copied locally to the users machine.
Also note that it has nothing to do with the data source being on a remote
server. It looks like something to do with the fact that the user is
working from a networked home directory.
Anyone seen this or know how to solve this?
Cheers -
Phil
