Perhaps this question is better asked of the IE5.5 folks; if so,
please kindly advise.
Job switch has moved me from a Win2K desktop to a Win98 one. The
company has Office 97 (in process of upgrade, but not our turn
yet). I uninstalled my own personal retail copy of Office 2K
from the other machine and installed on this one (after
uninstalling Ofc97).
Now, when trying to print a Word document from IE5.5 or from
Windows Explorer, Word opens and I get a small popup that asks for
the "Normal Password". I have no clue what that password might
be, or why it wants one, none that I've tried work and the
document won't print. This happens ONLY when I try to print a Word
attachment directly from an email (on right click, print) or a
Word document from Windows Explorer (same right click, print). It
does not happen with all Word docs, just some (can't predict
which).
Can I make this go away? Or at least set a password I can use?
I'm not barred from printing the documents, just frustrated in
being prevented from doing it the most convenient way. Can anyone
offer a solution? My heartfelt gratitude if you can. Julie.
please kindly advise.
