Word Not Responding

Using Powerpoint and then creating Notes Master which opens Word and a
document of 26,911 K. The document will not open and have to use Task
Manager since it does not respond. I've noticed that Word 2000 has a
file limit of 32 meg but this shows 26 meg. Is it really not responding
or just takes quite a while to open the document?
